It was super extravaganza at the ‘Kenyan Night’, as thousands of people from different walks of life flocked Sportsview Hotel in Remera, for the show. Emerging on stage, clad in designer outfits and shades, Kenya’s renowned P-Unit, waxed a great performance, and set the tone of the show immediately with high energy performance and helped to make the event special.

The group exuded a genuine effortless charm that flattens any barriers between them and the audience. Their style of music bridges cultural and generational gaps.
Through their mastered vocal skills and energetic stage performance, the dudes demonstrated why people idolise their work, as they sang one hit after another, with fans cheering and dancing along.
In what was expected to be a regular entertainment theme night, showcasing Kenya’s music and culture, the ‘Kenya Night’ helped to promote unity in diversity between Kenyans and Rwandans.
Despite their brief performance, the trio (Frasha, Gabu and Bon Eye), gave the audience a total package and performed some of their hit tracks, ‘Si Lazima’, ‘Kushoto Kulia’ and ‘Una.’ There were several screams from the audience as fans longed for more and more!
The event also featured Kenya’s most celebrated DJ, Collo, and Rwanda based Kenyan DJ, Davy, who treated the audience to the best of Kenyan Jazz, Funk, Afro Fusion, R & B, Hip Hop, Soul, Gospel, Rock, Mugithi, Benga, Isikuti, Chakakcha and more.
The event started at 11 p.m instead of 9 p.m as had been scheduled earlier. The entrance fee was Rwf5, 000. And, from Sportview, all roads led to Club Planet for the ‘Kenyan Night’ after party, where local artists including, Miss JoJo and Bac-T had chance to perform for their fans.
Fresh from MTV MAMA’s Awards in Nigeria, the group is currently riding high on African charts, radio and clubs with their club banger hit ‘Kare.’ They have won five awards, including 2007 Chaguo La Teeniez Awards, 2008 Kisima Music Awards and were nominated for the 2010 MTV Africa Music Awards.
