The National rugby team, the Silverbacks has been invited to take part in the Jinja Nile fun rugby 7s tournament scheduled to take place on April 22 at Dam Waters Grounds in Jinja, Uganda.The technical director in the local rugby federation, Gerald Nsenga told this paper that the team will be training four times week starting on Wednesday.
The National rugby team, the Silverbacks has been invited to take part in the Jinja Nile fun rugby 7s tournament scheduled to take place on April 22 at Dam Waters Grounds in Jinja, Uganda.
The technical director in the local rugby federation, Gerald Nsenga told this paper that the team will be training four times week starting on Wednesday.
"The players will start training tomorrow (Wednesday). We will be having training sessions of 4 times a week,” Nsenga, who also doubles as the national team head coach, said.
The Silverbacks reached the bowl semi-finals last year and will be expecting to better that performance in their second attempt in the tourney.
The one-day tournament will attract teams from Kenya and Uganda and IRB (International Rugby Board) rules for seven-a-side tournaments will be applicable.
