Kigali was heated up this week or was it overheated; at the visit of the man - Bush. Fellow villagers, this is the President of the United States of America; do not ask me the president of the united states of Africa.

More about him: George Walker Bush born July 6, 1946; he is the forty-third and current President of the United States of America. Going by his name, he must be a fellow villager, ever seen any bush or Bush in towns?

G.W.B previously served as the forty-sixth Governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000 and is the eldest son of one of the former United States Presidents, George Herbert Walker Bush.

He was inaugurated as President on January 20, 2001 and his current term is scheduled to end on January 20, 2009. After graduating from college, Bush worked in his family's oil businesses.

In 1978, he made an unsuccessful run for the U.S. House of Representatives. He later co-owned the Texas Rangers baseball team before returning to politics in a campaign for Governor of Texas.

He defeated Ann Richards and was elected Governor of Texas in 1994. He was elected to the Presidency in 2000 as the Republican candidate in a close and controversial contest, in which he lost the nationwide popular vote, but won the presidential elections.

I hope Mr. Raila Odinga of Oranges, sijui Demonstration Movement (ODM) will take a leaf from this experience. Wouldn’t he and Kenya have been better off if he joined the orange growing business? No offence intended here.

Bwana Raila you know, we villagers love farming more than politics that is the reason I give politics a break. After the attacks on September 11, 2001; normally referred to as nine eleven or 911, Bush announced a global War on Terrorism and ordered an invasion of Afghanistan to overthrow the Taliban, destroy Al-Qaeda, and to capture Osama bin Laden.

Having contested for the second presidential term amidst the Iraq War, Bush was re-elected in 2004; his presidential campaign against Senator John Kerry went through, despite a controversy over Bush's execution of the Iraq War.
After his re-election, Bush increasingly received heated criticism.

His term has had the distinction of having some of the highest and lowest approval ratings of any president in history.

As I write this column, His Excellency G.W. Bush already left the country, other wise, who would dare the strongest man in the world?

I am not yet ready for the "famous” Guantanamo Bay on the Cuban peninsula. My children are still very young, who would take care of them if I was ever sent to Guantanamo courtesy of Terrorism?

All I ask of Mr. G.W. Bush is to unleash a small fraction of his family’s fortune upon this land of a thousand hills and poverty would be declared history like it happened to the deadly small pox.

God bless Great America and its big hearted people; the same should apply to the land of a thousand hills.
