SELLAS Tetteh has asked his wasps to keep their feet on the ground despite Saturday’s timely 3-1 Group H win over Burundi in the on-going 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifiers.

Rwanda kept their faint hopes of playing in Gabon/Equatorial Guinea alive after seeing off the Swallows in front of a fully packed Kigali Regional Stadium.

Now, the Ghanaian has a huge task of keeping the team focused ahead of the return leg which will be played in Bujumbura.

"Of course we are excited about the win. It was our first in the qualifying campaign and brings a lot of confidence and belief in the team,” Tetteh said, adding, "But the most important thing is not to get carried away by the result because there is still a lot of work to be done.”

"Burundi are a very good side and will be hard to break down at home but we have to work hard and believe that we can do it,” the 54-year-old continued.

Rwanda’s qualification chances rests on her performance in the remaining three matches; Burundi (away), Benin (away) and Ivory Coast (home).

On Saturday, Jean Claude Iranzi, AS Cannes striker Elias Uzamukunda a.k.a Baby and Eric Gasana were on target for the wasps while Faty Papy scored Burundi’s consolation goal.

The win moved Rwanda into third place (three points) while Burundi dropped to the bottom.

Meanwhile, Botswana became the first team to qualify for the 2012 CAN following their 1-0 victory over Chad.
Victory moved the South African nation to 16 points in Group K which unlike other groups, has five teams.
Second placed Malawi is seven points behind.

In Group J, Uganda maintained their lead at the top thanks to a 1-0 victory over Guinea-Bissau. Scotland-based David Obua scored the only goal of the game to take the Uganda Cranes to seven points.
