RWANDA has fielded five players in this year’s Africa Junior Tennis Championship which starts tomorrow in Gaborone, Botswana.

Gatete Hamisi and Gisele Umumararungu will compete in the 16 and under category while Jules Ndibwami, Ernest Habiyambere and Olive Tuyisenge will feature in the 14 and under category.

The players together with their coach Eric Uwamahoro leave this morning aboard Rwandair.

The event rolls off with a five-day warm-up tournament at Notwane Tennis Centre and is expected to attract players from the African continent and Canada, Australia, Britain, Sweden and Greece among others. The main tournament runs from April 4-8.
