RWANDA’s U-23 side has a steep mountain to climb after yesterday’s first leg 2-0 defeat against Zambia in the preliminary round of the 2012 London Olympic Games qualifiers.

Despite keeping the Zambian strikers quiet in the second half, the damage was already done as the visitors leaked in two first half goals.

Eric Nshimiyimana’s side now need a 3-0 victory in the return leg to move onto the next round.

Meanwhile, neighbours Uganda had Karim Nduga to thank for their slim 1-0 win over a hard-tackling Congo Brazzaville side at Nakivubo stadium.
