APR face Union FC in MTN Cup opener

DEFENDING champions APR have drawn second division side Union football club in the 1/16 preliminary round of this year’s MTN Peace Cup tournament. The 1/16 round of the MTN Peace Cup tournament kicks off on March 27.The winners will proceed to the 1/8 round of the lucrative tournament. Muhanga has already secured a bye into the next round after Thursday’s draws.

DEFENDING champions APR have drawn second division side Union football club in the 1/16 preliminary round of this year’s MTN Peace Cup tournament. The 1/16 round of the MTN Peace Cup tournament kicks off on March 27.

The winners will proceed to the 1/8 round of the lucrative tournament. Muhanga has already secured a bye into the next round after Thursday’s draws.

APR is the defending champion after they trounced Rayon Sport 1-0 in last year’s final.

Besides representing Rwanda at next year’s Orange Confederation Cup, the winner will pocket Rwf 10m courtesy of sponsors MTN Rwanda.
