The Private Sector Federation (PSF) is organising elections of its representatives at sector and district levels in Kigali city, officials said. This is the first time the Federation will be represented at local level in Kigali city.
The Private Sector Federation (PSF) is organising elections of its representatives at sector and district levels in Kigali city, officials said.
This is the first time the Federation will be represented at local level in Kigali city.
"From March 24 – 29, 2011 in all sectors of the districts of Kigali city, preparatory meetings will be convened with business persons and PSF staff to discuss the way business owners can benefits from PSF services in line with its mandate to represent and promote the interests of the business community,” a statement from PSF reads in part.
It adds that: "The elected members will be in charge of mobilising and advocating for the business community in their areas.”
The committees to be elected will comprise a president, Vice Chairman, Secretary and advisers up to a max of ten people.
Throughout those meetings, business persons will be given an opportunity to register as members of the PSF as a way to fully benefit from the advocacy.
PSF said that the committee at sector level will be elected on April 1, 2011 while district representatives will be elected on April 5, 2011
