The album features 17 exceptional tracks, in a detailed sequence of ‘inanga’, a lyre-like string instrument with represents great traditional hits.
‘Iragi rya data’ was recorded from two studios: Thunders in Kigali and Tanganyika in Bujumbura.
Born and raised in Burundi, Dr. Ntahonkiriye is a gynecologist at King Faisal Hospital.
"I am a professional doctor but I enjoy playing ‘inanga’ which I do for passion. This type of music is famous both in Burundi and Rwanda,” Dr. Ntahonkiriye said.
"My late father and other people of his time loved this type of music and it’s important we develop it even in this generation,” he added.
Dr. Ntahonkiriye is gearing up to release more singles and albums, despite his busy schedule at the hospital.
