THE national men’s volleyball team captain Mukunzi Christophe is confident about Rwanda’s chances of qualifying for this year’s All Africa Games slated for September in Mozambique’s capital Maputo.

Rwanda opens her qualification campaign this evening with a clash against Uganda at Amahoro Indoor Stadium and Mukunzi expects nothing short of a win.
"We have a good team and we believe we can qualify for the All Africa Games.

 We play Uganda tomorrow (today) and we want to get off to a strong start (winning the game),” the KVC player said.

Rwanda’s coach Paul Bitok added, "We know how good Kenya is but we have a game plan for them.”
The other day’s game pits pre-tournament favourites Kenya against Burundi.

The winner of the four-day event will earn a ticket to the Games.

Rwanda team: Setters: Elie Mutabazi (France) Mutesi Leon Fidele (Nyanza).

Centers: Vincent Dusabimana (NUR), Pierre Marshal Kwizera (Nyanza) and Placid Madison Sibomana (Nyanza).

Libero: Bosco Mutabazi (NUR).

Attack: Laurence Yakan (APR), Theodore Muyango (APR) and Christophe Mukunzi (KVC), Eric ‘Machine’ Nsabimana (NUR), Flavien Ndamukunda (Nyanza) and Aimable Mutuyimana (KVC).
