AMAVUBI head coach Sellas Tetteh has challenged Elias Uzamukunda a.k.a Baby to make the most of his return to the national team fold.

The Ghanaian recalled the 19-year-old AS Cannes striker after a two-year dearth and has now challenged him to tie down a first team place by putting in a good performance this Saturday when Rwanda host Burundi’s Swallows in a crucial 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifier at Kigali Regional Stadium.

I haven’t seen much of him but this is a great opportunity for him to prove his worth.

"He looks very athletic which is a plus but there is more to it,” the 54-year-old said before adding, "the mood in the dressing room is high and that is always important ahead of such a big game.”

While Burundi boast of eight professionals in their ranks, Tetteh opted for only two in Baby and Azam FC defender Patrick Mafisango.

After watching his players in training, Tetteh insists that the wasps are well set for their first Group H win.

"From the training sessions, it is clear that the players want to win,” Tetteh said.

Meanwhile, Group H’s other tie between Ivory Coast and Benin will be played at a neutral venue because of the upheaval in the West African state.

The post-election violence in Ivory Coast has forced the game to be moved to Accra.

The Elephants top the group with six points. Benin is second with four points while Burundi is third with one point. The wasps, who suffered back to back defeats against Ivory Coast (0-3) and Benin (0-3), are still bottom.

The 2012 Africa Nations Cup will be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
