Curfews are meant to positively direct teens.

Curfews or house rules, as they are sometimes called are dos and don’ts that your parents have set for you.

Such rules may include time for home work, chores and restrictions on telephone use, the TV and the computer or even your choice of friends.

While some youth find themselves on the wrong side of their parent’s rules, others acknowledge that some regulations are needed to prevent total chaos.

Most youth hate those curfews and rules because they think they are being treated like children, yet they want to scream, ‘we are not children anymore!’ Do you also feel chocked by these restrictions?

Though you might feel restricted, your parents probably think that their rules are vital if they are to protect you and prepare you for the responsibilities of adulthood.

Understandably teens may long for a life outside their parents’ authority. But would they be better off without their restrictions? You probably know some youth who can stay out as late as they want, wear anything they want, and hang with their frieds whenever they please.

Well, this may sound fun however, consider that their parents are simply too busy to notice what their children are doing. If your parents mind about you as a teenager, you should count yourself lucky to have someone who cares about you and prepares you for a better future.

Teens should know that these rules and curfews exist because your parents love you and care about what happens to you.
