MUHANGA - Residents of Kanyanza Village in Cyeza Sector have lauded the government for its support in providing funds for road construction through the Ubudehe community development programme.

The remarks were made by Anastase Riberakurora, the village head, during community celebrations held last Sunday.

He highlighted improved feeding, women empowerment, decent housing and improved hygiene among their achievements.

"Our residents have been involved in national and community development programme. The way forward still lies in the contribution of everyone,” Riberakurora said.

He noted that the village needs water supply and electricity which will now be top on the agenda.

The Mayor of Muhanga, Yvonne Mutwakwasuku, hailed residents for being proactive towards development and promised to advocate for the Kanyanza community to attain its set development goals.
