WITH just over a week before Rwanda’s must-win 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against rivals Burundi,  Sellas Tetteh is yet to decide  whether to line up build-up matches for his team or not.

In the last two years or so, Ferwafa and the coaches have done little as far as arranging build-up matches for the national team even when preparing for crucial games, something that has done the team more harm than good.

Even with two losses already and sitting bottom of their qualifying group, it appears as though the Amavubi Stars that have struggled to impress since Tetteh took charge last year are unlikely to play any international friendly before next week’s crucial tie.

Speaking to Times Sport yesterday morning by phone from the team’s training camp, Tetteh noted that he and his technical staff are still assessing players before determining whether they need the build-up match or not.

Rwanda lays bottom of Group H with no points after losing their first two matches against Ivory Coast and Benin. Burundi is third in the group with 1 point after holding Benin to a 1-1 draw and losing to Ivory Coast 1-0.

Meanwhile Tetteh also confirmed that he has been keeping tabs on the Burundian team and has useful information that will help him prepare for what promises to be a fiercely contested derby.

"I have watched some videos of Burundi and I know they summoned 10 professionals, so we are monitoring what they are doing and planning accordingly.” Tetteh said.

The Ghanaian only summoned two professionals for the must win tie. Azam midfielder Patrick Mafisango was expected in the Amavubi camp last evening, while France-based striker Elias Uzamukunda will arrive on Monday.
