Senior FBI officials visit Police HQs

KIGALI - The senior FBI officials who are in the country attending the 2011 FBI National Academy Associates re-trainer conference, Wednesday visited the office of the Inspector General (IGP) of Rwanda National Police.

KIGALI - The senior FBI officials who are in the country attending the 2011 FBI National Academy Associates re-trainer conference, Wednesday visited the office of the Inspector General (IGP) of Rwanda National Police.
 
Present were Mr. Joseph Demarest the Assistant Director FBI, Mr. Mathew Raia, President FBI National Academy Associates (FBINAA), Mr. Richard Mains, Chief of FBI International Operations Division Africa Unit, Mr. Thomas Relford – FBI Legal Attaché in charge of EASTERN Africa and Rwandan Prosecutor General Mr. Martin NGOGA
 
The delegation discussed with the IGP about ongoing cooperation projects on ways and means of strengthening the existing cooperation, especially in the areas of training in various specialised courses. FBI has in the past provided RNP with a wide range of leadership and specialized training courses.
 
The FBI trainers will conduct training on 17th to 20th March 11 to Police officers in Sensitive Site Exploitation, Crime Scene Management and Post blast Investigation.
 
Future cooperation will include support in development of forensic laboratory, training in advanced investigation, Informant development and intelligence courses among others.
