Newly appointed Rayon Sports coach Andy Mfutila has been appointed DR Congo Football Federation to prepare their U-23 team ahead of their 2012 Olympic qualifier match against Burkina Faso due on March 27 in Ouagadougou.

While confirming his new job, Mfutila said, "I have been called to prepare the U-23 team and I plan to talk to Rayon Sport management if they can allow me to start work (at Rayon) after returning from (national team duty).”

Rayon Sports chairman Albert Rudatsimburwa was happy for Mfutila to have been granted that huge responsibility.

"It’s always good to have experienced coaches and I think the experience he will gain with the U-23 responsibilities will help Rayon,” he said, adding that he is also happy for Emmanuel Ruremesha to be on the Amavubi technical team.

DR Congo play at home against Burkina Faso on April 10 in Kinshasa at Stade des Martyrs.
