Rwanda's senior women's team will be looking to defend the T20 Women&039;s Cricket Tournament trophy they won in Nigeria in 2022 when the tournament returns in March.
Dubbed NCF Women’s T20 International Cricket Tournament, the second edition of competition will be hosted in Lagos from March 19th- 26th and everything is well set according to Nigeria Cricket Federation president Uyi Akpata.
"This year's edition will have all the teams which participated in 2022 with the exception of Cameroon who are the only debutante's," Akpata stated during the launch of the competition

"We have world-class facilities across the country and have a successful talent-recruitment program as well. So, the NCF Women’s T20 International is one of the avenues to showcase, groom and maximize the use of those facilities. The plans have been in place since last year,” he added.

Rwanda beat Nigeria by 52 runs at the Tafawa Balewa Cricket Square Oval in Lagos on Sunday, April, 2022 to win the maiden edition of the competition.
