A new nightclub in town, Club Next, in Muhima has set out to offer more diversity for revellers, with quality and different exhilarating themes.

"The ethos of the club is ‘where music and entertainment matters,” said Patrick Lipscombe, who is behind the club along with business partner, Ever Binamungu.

The dual took over the space from Terassa club. Having kicked-off three weeks ago, the club has an international fusion taste on its menu and the décor is a mix of modern and country cottage styles.

Lipscombe said that the club is dedicated to playing quality music and offering cub-goers the best services they deserve. "We want to focus on consistency, hosting regional and international deejays every month to play alongside the club’s resident DJ, Focus,” he noted.

Club Next aspires to be all things to all the people, with sections dedicated to smokers and non-smoker.

Lipscombe told The New Times that Club Next will not only serve as a nightclub but an entertainment company which will be organising different social events, including parties.

"Soon we shall introduce membership system,” he added.
The DJ’s corner is located near the bar, where he plays different types of music from Hip-Hop, R&B, Reggae, to Latin.

On Wednesdays it’s Corporate Night, Thursday Campus Night, while on Saturday the club will be hosting After Party for the Miss and Mr. East Africa University / Rwanda Chapter.

Last weekend, the club had guest deejays from Kenya’s MOB DJs Company: Pauline, Fridah and Scratch One, who played alongside DJ Focus until dawn.

From the outside you could be fooled into thinking that the club had not changed, with the outside still having the old designs of Terassa.

Lipscombe said "We have refurbished the inside, putting in new seat and creating an intimate friendly feel that people want to come back to. However, we want to add more lighting to give it a lick of paint. ”

"The parking lot is big enough to accommodate all the vehicles of our clients,” he added.
