After sealing a tenth Primus league win of the season, APR head coach Ernest Brandts is convinced that the military side will retain their league title.

Speaking shortly after a 3-2 victory over archrivals Rayon Sports on Saturday, Brandts said, "We have proved why we deserve to be at the top of the league standings.”

"We are very close to retaining the title. We only need to win a few more matches and we are done with 2011 Primus league,” said Brantds, noting however that he has not thought of going the season unbeaten.

On Saturday, Jean Baptista Mugiraneza scored a stunning header to extend APR’s unbeaten league run following a 3-2 win over Rayon Sport.

Influential midfielder Kabange Twite scored a brace on 13th and 30th meeting both Hegman and Didier Sery Logba fine set-pieces.

However Sina Jerome and Abouba Sibomana cancelled the lead with fantastic goals on 21st and 39th minutes before both teams went into recess.

The victory helped APR maintain their clean sheet, amassing 30 points in ten matches played this season, while the defeat left Andy Mfutila’s team in fourth, level on 17 points with third placed Police FC.  SC. Kiyovu are third on 22 points.
