Boniface Rucagu is the National Chairman of the Itorero (civic education) Taskforce. He has held many public offices prior to his current position.

Below is how he goes through his day at work;
I wake up at 5a.m; switch on the radio to listen to current affairs both local and international.

By 6:45, I make sure I am done with breakfast. And by 7, I must be in the office. As soon as I get in there, I consider what I never completed the previous day, if any.
I then start on the day’s programme. My day of work might either be out of office or in office with my staff members.

My duties include planning for the task force in terms of activities to be conducted as well as determining when these activities are suitable. I also have the responsibility of checking on the impact of our activities on the society.

I also spend time out of the office attending meetings with other stake holders so as to share ideas as well as report the task force’s take on various issues.

When I enter the office, I sometimes find myself leaving at 8p.m. By 9, I am home. I relax a bit and have a cup of tea or even have supper although not always. I get to bed at 10p.m.
