Jean Claude Gasigwa failed to avenge his 2010 defeat to Uganda’s Duncan Mugabe as he was beaten in yesterday’s semi-final of the Kenya Tennis Open which ends today in Nairobi.

Mugabe who has shown remarkable improvement with each year passing reached the final of this year’s edition after edging out Gasigwa 6-2 6-2 7-5 on tie break.

In another semi-final, Kenya’s Allan Cooper booked his place into the final after beating Francis Rogoi 2-6 6-2 6-2 in straight sets.

Action continues today when Cooper face-off Mugabe in an exciting encounter in single’s category while Gasigwa will team up with Rogoi to battle Mugabe and Cooper in the doubles’ category respectively.

Ends
