RAYON Sport boss Albert Rudatsimburwa has scoffed at media reports that the relationship  between head coach Andy Mfutila Magloire and fitness coach Jean Pierre Ernzen has broken down.

Rudatsimburwa, who assumed full control of the club towards the end of last year, described the reports as baseless.

"I don’t know where those claims came from. Mfutila is very happy to work with him and appreciates everything he is doing for the club,” the Contact FM boss said.

"If you didn’t know, Ernzen is volunteering at the club and there are no plans whatsoever to contract him.”
Ernzen also confirmed to Times Sport that there was no rift between him and Mfutila.

"I’m a sports fanatic and whatever I’m doing at Rayon is out of love for sports,” the former national athletics coach said.

The Luxembourg national was recently relived of his duties as technical director in the Athletics federation for insubordination just four months in his four-year contract.
This Saturday, Mfutila will have his hands full when he takes on his former side APR in the Primus National Football League (PNFL). The Blues are ten points adrift of their arch-rivals and table leaders but the fans believe Mfutila could be the man to turn things round.

The APR-Rayon game is one of two delayed first round fixtures scheduled to be played this weekend. The other tie pits Kiyovu against Etincelles at Kigali Regional Stadium.

Kiyovu, who are coached by Jean Marie Ntagwabira are second on the table with 22 points while Etincelles are fifth with 15 points but with a game in hand against APR.
