JEAN Pierre Ernzen is back in the spot light after clashing with Rayon Sport head coach Andy Mfutila Magloire.

The newly appointed fitness coach, dominated headlines last month when he was relieved of his duties (technical director) with the national athletics federation (RAF) for insubordination.

Early this week, sources close to the club revealed that the pair has been involved in a power struggle.

But with a mouth-watering primus league clash against arch-rivals and reigning champions APR waiting in the wings, the on-going scuffle is a distraction Rayon would be happy to put an end to.

In fact, Mfutila has threatened to boycott Saturday’s match if the club’s top management don’t resolve the issue.

"I don’t know who will be in charge of Rayon this Saturday; me or Ernzen?” Mfutila wondered.

"It is imperative for the club to clearly define his (Ernzen) roles because we can’t continue working like this,” the former APR coach stressed.

"I’m not answerable to him (Ernzen). My boss is Albert (Rudatsimburwa) and I report directly to him.”

Rudatsimburwa has promised to deal with the issue immediately.

After a mixed start to the 2010/2011 season, Rayon signed Mfutila with an aim of closing down the gap with APR, who still hold a 100% record after nine wins on the trot. The Blues currently lie fourth on the league table with 17 points.

The APR-Rayon game is one of two delayed first round fixtures scheduled to be played this weekend. The other tie pits Kiyovu against Etincelles at Kigali Regional Stadium.

Kiyovu, who are coached by Jean Marie Ntagwabira are second on the table with 22 points while Etincelles are fifth with 15 points but with a game in hand against APR.
