Editor,
Between November 2008 and January 2011, my family lived in Remera, Kigali, enjoying the friendly environment and fantastic climate of the country. I was working as the Team Leader in the Land Registration Reform Project which provided technical support to the Office of the Registrar of Land Titles in the National Land Centre.
Our residence was protected day and night by a security firm called KK Security. However, in October 2010, burglars forced their way into our house and stole various electronic items including computer, TV, Radio, DVD player and many other things. Our night guard provided to us by KK Security was on duty that night.
Information from their website says- "KK Security is proud to serve people in Rwanda by providing Service with Integrity!
Despite having continuously been promised to be compensated by KK Security, only 25% from my claim was refunded. All attempts to be fully compensated have failed.
KK security is, therefore, not taking responsibility for their lack of performance and professionalism. I think KK Security should take the responsibility and compensate us as soon as possible.
I am aware of the fact that this is not the entire replacement value of my lost household items, but they must handle my case fairly. Pointing at the insurance company is not my concern as a client.
Please KK Security, show your Integrity!! Your customer oriented policy should be practical rather than theoretical.
