I had a conference on phone with four people in different parts of the world, and was amused at how technology is fast changing the turn of events in the business world.

Business executives can now comfortably sit in the privacy of their offices and have a conference without having to literary live out of their suitcases. 2011 is going to be one of the most competitive years for businesses, and if you are not ready to fight then you may lose out on some huge opportunities. 2010 was full of innovation and technology, a technology that helped people begin interacting on multiple platforms.
We had all the traditional ways to communicate a few years ago, but all that has changed now, with new technology popping out day in day out, with the added bonus of social networking. In these times we need to do even more in order to sustain business levels and at the same time try to increase them with new clients or customers.
Technology can help in numerous ways mainly around automation, providing access to information, analysis of information, specialist systems and improved collaboration. We already are seeing it now with the ability to mobile Skype, update social networks using apps, and many more.
There is a brand new set of technologies that can be exploited in marketing campaigns and the power is integrating these new technologies with the existing core products of a company which could open up new prospects, markets as well as providing better data on what your customers are doing and what they want.
Technology could also be used to improve internal processes which would not only enhance the client experience and support the business goals but also free people from unnecessary tasks so they could be more productive in marketing and selling their products.
Using these technologies to generate business has been an added bonus to companies’ business development efforts across the world.
Technology will not just be an added bonus for companies, but a must to survive!

If you are not adapting to the new ways of communication by using all these technologies, then you are going to be over taken by the turn of events and competition. The reason as to why companies should always go with the new technology in the market is because your customers are spending the majority of their time on these new forms of communication.
You may not be, but your customers are using social networks, on their phones downloading apps, finding new products by searching google, using text message more than ever, and this is becoming a reality in any society.
For those companies who have already started reaching out via social networks and mobile marketing, then start pushing even harder and invest a little more to acquire newer equipments.
For those who have not started, then your company needs to catch up fast! Start by hiring people who know what they are doing, so they too can train the employees who have been in the company, for they too need a chance to be trained to be at par with any new technology that comes in the market. Businesses are going facebook and twitter all because they have found these to be open forums which can take their business to greater heights.
For any business to survive through this year to the next, its time to embrace the new trend and technology or you will be left standing alone.
