Egypt, have a direct ticket to Maputo, after being crowned champions in the 9th All Africa Games.
The national team, under the tutelage of Kenyan coach Paul Bitok and Fidele Nyirimana has started preparations at Amahoro indoor stadium.
The provisional 19-man squad includes Benjamin Kagabo (KVC), Hervé Kagimbura (UNR), Bonny Mutabazi (UNR), Leon Fidele Mutesi (APR), Vincent Dusabimana (UNR), Guillaume Irakarama (UNR), Pierre Marchal Kwizera (Nyanza), Placide Madison Sibomana (Nyanza) and Bosco Mutabazi (UNR).
Others include; Alex Ntakirutimana (APR), Alex Nkuranga (APR), Yakan Lawrence (APR), Adolphe Mutoni (UNR), Theodore Muyango (College Inyemeramihigo), Eric Nsabimana (UNR), Olivier Ntagengwa (UNR), Flavien Ndamukunda (Nyanza), Christopher Mukunzi (KVC) and Aimable Mutuyimana (KVC).
The tournament also doubles as a qualifier for the All Africa Games slated for September in Maputo, Mozambique.
