Citizens’ vigilance will foil grenade attacks

Editor,

The police are doing a commendable work in protecting citizens. The arrest of five more suspects in connection with grenade attacks is a welcome development. I, therefore, want to appeal to all Rwandans to continue working hand in hand with our police to arrest these criminals.

The success of the police will, in my view largely depend on the involvement of ordinary Rwandans. Police cannot work alone.

Though the police have already done a commendable job in the fight against these criminal elements, it could even do better if  we all provided relevant information. The perception that police are the only people in charge of ensuring security or order needs to change.
