Benson Kubwimana is the 12-year-old student at Groupe Scholaire St. Famille who released a song. His single is dubbed ‘Nyamunsi’. 

The young musician says he is very happy when singing because it is one way he communicates with fellow children.

"I love music and singing. When I sing, I am expressing my feelings to children and the general public,” Kubwimana said.

He is inspired by famous musicians who are both local and regional. 

"I love the way Meddy performs on stage and the Ugandan artist called Eddy Kenzo,” he said.

His song is dedicates to his mother. He says, "it is because she has always been there for me by supporting in its production.”

"If it was not my mother, I would not have managed to record my song. She is such a loving mother,” he said adding that, "I want to make sure I come from underground to the top.”

Although Kubwimana loves music, his dream is to become an accountant.
