Plot: Manmade disasters, from deadly virus leakages to machine takeovers, are always a fascinating topic for movie makers. Unstoppable is about a runaway train that carries a cargo of deadly toxic chemicals.

The Engineer and his conductor are caught in a race against time to stop the train before it derails and spills the chemicals which would destroy an entire town.

Verdict: it is fast, loud and thrilling, a nice watch with great acting, and rivetingly tense moments. Like all Washington’s movies, it is well scripted and the roles are well played out.

Cast: Denzel Washington, Chris Pine, Chris Pine, Rosario Dawson, Ethan Suplee, Kevin Dunn, Kevin Corrigan.
