Rwanda, will for the first time, participate in the forthcoming 9th African Investment Forum, in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.The forum will take place from April 17-19. The forum is organized by the Commonwealth Business Council (CBC), the East African Community (EAC) and investment promotion agencies within the community.

According to Vivian Kayitesi, the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) Head of Division, Investor Aftercare and Monitoring, the country will showcase the investment opportunities the country has to offer.
"Rwanda’s participation is crucial at such a platform that will bring together the very apex of the region’s governmental authorities with key private sector participants from across Africa and the Commonwealth,” she said.
Kayitesi noted that Rwanda will showcase investment opportunities in agribusiness, education, tourism, health, transport, manufacturing, ICT, energy and mining among others.
She added that Rwanda will also chair a plenary session on private-public partnerships.
The theme of the forum is; "Accelerating investment in East Africa and increasing access to a market of a billion people.”
