Leadership retreat kicks off March 1

The Eighth Annual Leadership Retreat will kick off Tuesday, March 1, in Rubavu district under the chairmanship of President Paul Kagame.According to Protais Musoni, the Minister in charge of Cabinet Affairs, discussions at the retreat will rotate around assessing various government programmes.

The Eighth Annual Leadership Retreat will kick off Tuesday, March 1, in Rubavu district under
the chairmanship of President Paul Kagame.

According to Protais Musoni, the Minister in charge of Cabinet Affairs, discussions at the retreat will rotate around assessing various government programmes.

"The retreat will review the progress made since last year and also set priorities for the nation’s development,” said Musoni.

He added that key issues on the agenda include; energy production, empowering Small and Medium
Enterprises for job creation, and quality of education offered in Rwandan institutes.

Other issues on the agenda are, investment promotion, governance and ICT.

"There has been great improvement in performance compared to the previous year’s,” said Musoni.

The meeting is attended by senior government officials.
