Adolf Bagabo, a.k.a Kamichi is a fan-favourite in Rwanda. At 29 years, his latest afro beat song "Ngwino Undebe” plays big time on local radios and his stage performances send crowds wild.

The "Zubeda” singer started his music career in the mid 2000’s. He was a back-up singer for some of today’s popular artists like Rafiki and the Dream Boys’ Platini.

In 2008, he went solo and tasted a glimpse of fame. But it was his song collaborations with RnB singers Elliot Victory and The Ben that gave him a fast ticket to stardom.

Kamichi attributes his music success to his grandmother who raised him.

"She taught me so much about our culture which is the basis of my music,” he says adding that, "…she also molded my character by counseling me and disciplining me when I was wrong.”

Besides singing, Kamichi is a radio presenter and a music events organiser. He is currently working on his debut album which he plans to release in August, 2011.

Kamichi says he is passionate about changing the face of Rwanda’s music industry.
