Gospel music star to walk down the aisle

Renown local gospel music artist, Aime Uwimana, will be walking down the aisle next month, The New Times has learnt. The 33 year old popular worship singer is getting married to Claire Uwayezu, 23, who also prays from Zoin Temple. They will be walking down the aisle March 5, 2011.

Renown local gospel music artist, Aime Uwimana, will be walking down the aisle next month, The New Times has learnt.

The 33 year old popular worship singer is getting married to Claire Uwayezu, 23, who also prays from Zoin Temple. They will be walking down the aisle March 5, 2011.

The couple has already exchanged vows from Nyarugenge Sector, where hundreds turned up to bear witness.

Among the guests were other local gospel singers from Rwanda and those from Burundi who escorted him to Kabeza-Samuduha, in Kicukiro District, where the introduction ceremony took place.

The artists included Aline Gahongayire, Uwitonze Clementine (Tonzi), and Barnabas Peter Manyaga, Guy Badibanga and Fortran Bigirima and his brother from Burundi. 

The composer of the popular Muririmbire Uwiteka has so far released five albums and is currently a grand piano player at Serena Hotel.
