Rwanda Stock Exchange Market report,Thursday February 17, 2011

The market today traded slightly higher on lower volumes compared to the previous day on the Rwanda Stock Exchange. The trading session was still dominated by more offers than bids. The total turnover from today’s trading was Rwf434,700 from 2,300 Bralirwa shares traded in one deal at Rwf189. There was no activity on the KCB and NMG counters.

The market today traded slightly higher on lower volumes compared to the previous day on the Rwanda Stock Exchange.

The trading session was still dominated by more offers than bids. The total turnover from today’s trading was Rwf434,700 from 2,300 Bralirwa shares traded in one deal at Rwf189. There was no activity on the KCB and NMG counters.

At the end of business, a total of 572,100 Bralirwa shares were on offer; 63,000 of the shares in seven lots at Rwf189; 9,100 shares at Rwf190 and 500,000 at Rwf191.
Bralirwa shares closed at Rwf189, Rwf9 higher than the previous closing.

KCB shares and NMG shares remained unchanged; they closed at Rwf173 and Rwf1,200, respectively. 


The Bond Market:
No transactions were recorded on government bonds. At the close of business, there was a bid of Rwf 100 million government bonds at 98.237 and there were no sellers.
There was no transaction on the BCR bond
