A Rwandan gospel artist, Kizito Mihigo, based in Belgium is enjoying great success in the country’s capital Brussels.
His music is said to be playing a recognizable role in uniting Rwandans living in Belgian capital as the number of his fans increase each concert he hosts. His message is peace, unity and reconciliation.
On Sunday he held a successful concert at Eglise du Précieux Sang, Uccle District where hundreds of Rwandans turned up for his concert.
The concert which was free of charge was titled ‘Dives in Misericordia’ where he performed with a youth group called Groupe de prière Messager du Christ Roi.
The concert was graced by Father François Xavier Mpfizi, an active priest in that parish who said such concerts of peace organized by Rwandan youth should continue to happen and be spread to the world.
Mihigo started with a song titled ‘Arc-en-Ciel’ (Rainbow) based on the Old Testament’s covenant between God and his people after He destroyed the earth with floods saving only Noah’s family and animals.
He told his fans that even though the sign of the Rainbow was in the Old Testament, they should remember that Jesus Christ is today’s Rainbow written in the New Testament adding that Jesus should be a Rainbow sign for both Rwanda and Belgium showing God’s love and covenant not to destroy the human race again.
