Nyarutarama Tennis Club (NTC) will welcome Kampala Club Limited in a friendly game that will take place at Nyarutarama Tennis Court on Saturday, February 18.

According to Damien E. Ngabonziza, the president of the hosting tennis club, the friendly is aimed at cementing existing friendship between the two clubs but, on a wider scale, to strengthen cordial relations of Ugandan and Rwandan tennis fraternities.

"Last year, Kampala Club hosted us in a friendly tournament and we took it upon ourselves to reciprocate their gesture in 2023 as a means to further solidify our friendship," Ngabonziza told Weekend Sport.

"Many tennis amateurs from NTC and other local clubs such as Cercle Sportif de Kigali will join us in the event," he added.

Ngabonziza further revealed that Kampala Club Limited will bring 30 players. The team arrives in Kigali on Friday, February 17.

"Some 30 club individuals, both male and female, will arrive Friday and a guided tour of Kigali is planned on Friday morning,” Ngabonziza said.

Some games will be played on Friday afternoon. The main get-together will be on the courts together with the closing reception which will take place Saturday evening.

Nyarutarama Tennis Club is one of the most vibrant tennis clubs in Rwanda producing a host of international players.
