As a citizen, I am concerned about what happened to the parliamentary inquiry report that implicated some contractors who had been hired to renovate the Parliamentary Buildings.

The report, that included several other alleged irregularities in the Parliament’s renovation process, showed that the contracted firms installed substandard surveillance security cameras. We need to know what has been done since the report was released.

These firms were trusted and should have done a better job. I have heard that parliament released the money to the contractors. Also the renovation work delayed to start and it seems these people had issues from the start.

Though the contractors have denied any wrongdoing, I believe the report by the lawmakers should be followed up and the public informed. Accountability must be seen across the board.
