Utexrwa employees’ concerns must be addressed

Editor, I would like to thank The New Times for publishing the story about  the protest of Utexrwa employees, that appeared in yesterday’s issue. First of all, I want to state it clearly that I am not in support of strikes that are meaningless.

Editor,

I would like to thank The New Times for publishing the story about  the protest of Utexrwa employees, that appeared in yesterday’s issue.

First of all, I want to state it clearly that I am not in support of strikes that are meaningless. After reading the story, i want to add my voice to that of the workers of Utexrwa.

workers should have a desk where they forward their numerous problems like; dissatisfaction with company policies, salaries, incentive issues or wrongful dismissal.
Work related issues require clear explanations from company owners, but unfortunately, the company in question didn’t have such a desk where workers would, at least, inform them of their problems.

If there was such a desk, it wouldn’t have gone out of hand. I would like to appeal to whoever is in charge to try and find a solution favorable to these workers. This is important because most of these workers have families to take care of.
