This letter is in reference to your article entitled "Kirabo named Governor of Eastern Province” which appeared in The NewTimes of Saturday, February, 12. The former Kigali mayor is one of the dynamic and innovative leaders.

Please allow me to congratulate Dr. Aisa Kirabo Kacyira on her new appointment and wish her every success in steering the Eastern Province to greater social, economic and cultural development in the coming years.

The initiatives taken by the dynamic Kirabo in the development of Kigali City would enable the Eastern Province to draw on her expertise and surge ahead as a model province in the near future.

She has left a good track record behind and I am sure she will handle her new assignment to Rwandans’ expectations.
