Yesterday, Remera Buffalo Rugby Football Club shook off a stubborn Sharks RFC to win the Buffalo Rugby 7s title. The annual tournament that has been going for four years attracted ten teams at Green Hills Academy grounds.

Yesterday, Remera Buffalo Rugby Football Club shook off a stubborn Sharks RFC to win the Buffalo Rugby 7s title.

The annual tournament that has been going for four years attracted ten teams at Green Hills Academy grounds.

Buffaloes, as though relaying its 2011 intentions, beat whichever team crossed its path conceding only one unconverted try the entire tournament.

The Buffaloes met a stubborn Gikondo based Sharks RFC at the finals. The first half ended 0-0. However, the former upped their game in the second half to end the game 12-0 in their favour.

National University of Rwanda’s Grizzlies beat Nyamirambo Gorillas 5-0 to lift the Plate trophy while Sharks B lifted the Shield with a 7-0 win over Musanze’sTumba Jaguars.

Vincent Kamali with his dazzling pace and pocket size Moise ‘Fils’ Habumugisha were recognised for their overall contribution to their teams’ successes! Kelvin Makmott, Lucien Bikamba and Allan Amin of Buffaloes also shone on the day.
