Lion Imanzi is the production Manager at Contact F.M. He is in charge of the production work at the radio station, among other related activities.

Below he shares how he goes about his day;
I wake up as early as 5a.m, use about 30 minutes to awake and help my children prepare for school.

I then tune in to international news as I also prepare to leave for work. The time I leave home for work depends on what I have to do. However, it takes me about 30 minutes to get there.

My work is to ensure that all production activities go on smoothly which includes coming up with ideas, writing and recording, among others.
Depending on the work I may have that particular day; I may or may not have lunch on time. The usual time to leave work is 6p.m but on certain occasions, I find myself extending working hours.

However, if it works out the normal way, I am at home by 7. At this time, I give attention to my family. I play around with my children as we watch television, listen to music and discuss various home related issues.

I also get some time to do personal work especially after taking a cup of coffee. I usually don’t want to have supper.
The time I get to bed is not fixed, but I never get there before midnight.
