Two friendlies lined up for T20 national cricket team

THE national cricket team coach Adam Arnold will use two friendlies against a select Uganda cricket side to gauge the team’s readiness ahead of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Africa Division III Regional T20 tournament slated for February 23-28 in Accra, Ghana.

After naming his final 14 man squad for the six- day tourney, Arnold yesterday revealed that the friendlies will help him gauge the team’s potential.

"They (Uganda) have a very good side and we expect a stern test. But that is what I exactly need to gauge the team’s potential ahead of the T20 tournament, "the Australian said.

The team leaves on Saturday morning and will play their first match in the afternoon at Ntare School. The second game is scheduled for Sunday morning.
