Dear Editor,

The traffic at Remera junction is very risky to pedestrian’s lives especially during rush hours. The parts that need extra attention are areas near Giporoso mosque, opposite SAR Motors- an Indian garage.

At this Kanombe International Airport Road, many young children, students cross to and from Giporoso Pentecostal Primary School and Myrters Secondary School among others.

This city suburb is very crowded with many businesses and customers who constantly make several trips in just a day.
Since there are no zebra crossings, most vehicles reduce speed only when they get close to the traffic rights.

This ultimately makes pedestrians prone to accidents. I appeal to Kigali City Council (KCC) to paint zebra crossings to protect the lives of the citizens.
