I find it difficult to believe that up to now, Paul Rusesabagina has not been prosecuted despite several criminal charges against him.

Evidence from the office of Prosecutor General has indicated that Rusesabagina, through Western Union, sent funds to two commanders of the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR), With the aim of distabilizing the region and committing atrocities against innocent citizens .

I appeal to countries who believe in the rule of law to cooperate and have Rusesabagina arrested and arraigned before the courts of law. If he’s innocent, then let him prove it.

I wish to commend members of the Diaspora community from Texas, US, for their efforts to ensure that Rusesabagina is prosecuted.

Sometime back, the prosecution said that Rwanda had already issued the US government with a request to provide evidence that will be used to prosecute Rusesabagina. However, I am surprised to hear that Rusesabagina has continued to walk freely and to carry out his mission of supporting FDLR.

This is unfortunate because, all countries in the world, have an obligation to cooperate in apprehending criminals.
