“Eh eh… you also use a Chinese phone!”, “ha- ha that phone is too big”, “why do you like Chinese phones?”, “why can’t you buy an original N-series phone?”, “is it internet enabled any way?” All these comments, mockery and questions are all I have been fired lately because of my “own” phone. My big and simple question is, “So what, if I use a Chinese phone?”

All these comments, mockery and questions are all I have been fired lately because of my "own” phone. My big and simple question is, "So what, if I use a Chinese phone?”
Frankly my Nokia N-90 phone (you all know how cool this phone is), is not even Chinese made, but because of its big shape, its mistake it for a Chinese one. I do not mind the so-called "china phone” except for people’s dense remarks.
China phones can call, text, connect on WAP (internet), they are camera enabled, play music like most of the N-series, Blackberries and other better phones you can imagine. The difference is sin the fact that mine is called a "ching chong” and yours a BlackBerry. They both have the same purpose and so I wonder what the big fuss is all about.
All I seek is for people to at least appreciate the Chinese device. It surely has eased the communication barriers between Rwandans. If you cannot afford an original Blackberry, simple, you can probably purchase a Chinese one.
I don’t know if you have noticed, but there are phones with the tag, "Made in Rwanda” This is no joke because they exist and they of course serve positively like any other phone.
Besides the Chinese phones, there are Chinese products such as; shoes, clothes, jewelry among others. Just like the remarks go against the phone, the same is with these products. At the end of the day, these products are affordable for most people.
So, if one of these days you are haunted by remarks about your special items, stand by your word let someone know that you love what you have.
