Top Gicumbi officials seek re-election

GICUMBI - Three top officials of Gicumbi district are seeking re-election in the ongoing local government elections. Mayor, Bonane Nyangezi, the Vice mayor for Economic Affairs, Ildephonse Butera, and that of Social Affairs, Eugenie Uwamahoro, have decided to run for the District Advisory Council (DAC) positions.

GICUMBI - Three top officials of Gicumbi district are seeking re-election in the ongoing local government elections. Mayor, Bonane Nyangezi, the Vice mayor for Economic Affairs, Ildephonse Butera, and that of Social Affairs, Eugenie Uwamahoro, have decided to run for the District Advisory Council (DAC) positions.

"I am optimistic of winning, the people have confidence in me because of the development we have achieved together during the five-year tenure,” Nyangezi said.
"We shall continue from where we left, to steer the District to socio-economic prosperity.”

Eugene Uwamahoro, said her contributions towards implementing government policies like health insurance and promotion of nine years basic education (9YBE) in the entire District during her five year tenure, are key factors on which Rutare Sector residents will vote her for.
