Editor,
Both the Rwandan police officers and members of Rwanda Defense Forces serving under the United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS) have continued to promote the country’s good image by demonstrating outstanding work.
After the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, the government embarked on the reconstruction journey. For the country to move forward, the new leadership had to form a government based on the rule of law.
I think our army and police have done well because of a sense of accountability and the rule of law.
Police have always been on the fore front in fighting corruption and, therefore, the numerous medals received in the past attest to Rwanda’s good leadreship.
