KIGALI - The Kigali City vice Mayor in charge of Economic Affairs, Aphonse Nizeyimana, has said that he will stand for a second term. Speaking to The New Times yesterday, Nizeyimana said that he has already submitted his candidature in Kimironko Sector where he resides.
KIGALI - The Kigali City vice Mayor in charge of Economic Affairs, Aphonse Nizeyimana, has said that he will stand for a second term.
Speaking to The New Times yesterday, Nizeyimana said that he has already submitted his candidature in Kimironko Sector where he resides.
"I decided to stand for a second term in office because I still have energy to serve Kigali City and my country in general and I am determined to do that,” he said.
Nizeyimana was elected as vice mayor in May 2009 and before that, he worked as a city engineer with KCC in charge of roads.
Bruno Rangira, the KCC communications director, revealed that Jean d’Arc Gakuba, the vice mayor in charge of social affairs, will not stand for another term after having been in office for two terms.
