Editor,

The grenade attack that killed two people and wounded at least 26 near a bus terminal in Giporoso, Remera, in Kigali, last Friday evening was an act of provocation, orchestrated by sadists who don’t want to see our country and Rwandans live in peace.

These people have attacked us in the past and have been defeated. I’m sure their evil mission will not succeed in Rwanda no matter how long they keep trying.
Our government was able to stop the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi and the grenade attacks will also be a thing of the past.

Let us work with our police and identify people behind grenade attacks. Actually, by attacking innocent civilians, these people are making their situation even worse because nobody has ever succeeded through killing innocent members of society.

They can kill civilians but they should remember that nothing lasts forever. The killers will be apprehended one day and be punished severely.

I believe Rwanda’s continued stability which has attracted many investors has made some people jealous.

I trust our security agencies are capable of preventing more incidents from happening again. Allow me to send my sympathies to the bereaved families.
