This letter is in reference to your article entitled "I will not contest for Mayor – Kirabo,” that appeared in your newspaper, Saturday, January, 29.

Dr. Aisa Kirabo Kacyira will surely be missed as Mayor by many Rwandans and friends of Rwanda. Her great contribution in helping Kigali develop into a world class city speaks volumes.

Any person who has been in Rwanda will definitely agree that Kigali City has developed and turned into a modern city.

Please allow me through your newspaper to appreciate all the good work Dr. Aisa has done during her tenure as Mayor. She has surely helped in making Kigali a model city to the rest of Africa.

While my good wishes go out to Dr. Aisa for the future, I would also like to warmly welcome whoever takes over as the new Mayor of Kigali. For sure, the good work done so far will be taken further in the years ahead.
